Look, I just want regular plain, crackers. Is that too much to ask?! Just a cracker. Plain, simple, salt/no salt, cracker! On which to spread something, that will, most likely, have a freakin' "smak" of it's own! They don't need an additional "smak", gosh darn it!
not picantne (spicy)
not czosnykowym (garlic)
not barbecue (self explanatory)
not pomidorow (tomato, olive oil, and oregano)
not pizza (pizza)
not super solone (super salted...so close)
not owoce lesne (fruits of the forest...it's a CRACKER!!! it's OK to leave off the fruit every once in a while!!!)
not cebulka (onion)
and on
and on
and while we're at it, why the heck can't here be a normal Cheetos? ORIGINAL CHEETOS! And you know what, I dont even eat cheetos normally, but dang it Poland, why the heck are there no original flavored cheetos!!
I get that it was really hard 20 years ago to get variety of snacks. But don't you think we've all got just a little bit overboard here? Hmmm? Chicken flavored chips? Really?! Give. me. a. break.
And not a single freakin' saltine on which to spread my brand new Jif peanut butter, hauled all the way over here by a friend. I swear, sometimes Poland, I just don't know what you DO get right.
Have you try crackers from Biedronka? They have no "smak" , maybe little salty? You can spread chees on it or something I supposed.
ReplyDeleteI will look. I will hope.
DeleteYou definately can buy cracker without extra flavour like girl above me said from Biedronka but also other big shops have them ;-) and original cheetos you also can buy for example in Carefour or real ;-) in those same places you can buy original crackers ;-)
ReplyDeleteI won't believe it until I see it! ;) Actually, I have found one kind of cracker that I like, in Real, imported from Italy. Expensive, but very good. Unfortunately Real doesn't do grocery delivery.

You can be sure that I don't lie to you :-) and yeah you have point real don't have option shopping on-line and unfortunately I know how that can be difficult and about crackers they have also polish one original and cheaper then italian one if I will found picture I will gave you hint with them :-)

Alright, alright. They HAVE plain crackers. I was hungry, Tesco delivery was failing me in the cracker department. Thank you for the links everyone. I suppose the next thing on my agenda will be a cracker tasting party.
ReplyDeleteIf you will do party like that I want come I love crackers ;-)
DeleteIf you will do party like that I want come I love crackers ;-)
DeleteIf I have a party, then you are invited! Of course now I see this as a challenge and will therefore HAVE TO throw a party. Details to follow...
DeleteAnd if the Polish crackers are not enough, you can always come to Paris. In every supermarket you can find them with no SMAK at all.
ReplyDeleteConcerning crackers French seem be closer to America then Polish? :))
Kisses from Paris
Nika
Paris! For crackers?! Sure, why not? ;)
DeleteMy daughter just asked the other day if we could go to Paris. One of these days...
lol
ReplyDeleteyour polish is kind of funny:-)
on a side note, you'll miss all those flavors when youre going to be back home
its a promise:-)
Trust me, I don't have "Polish" so that's just my attempt at writing everything phonetically. My speaking is a riot!
DeleteHahaha, every time I go to store here in Canada I have opposite problem! Why they do not have crackers with flavour?! Plain ones? Oh! It''s soooo boring. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteThat made me laugh! Oh goodness, I guess I just want the cracker to be the "conduit for the condiment". (I made that up myself!) I don't want the cracker to have taste because I want to taste whatever I put on it...ya know?

ReplyDeleteHave you thought that those chips are produced by US-owned companies? :D So good thing would be to ask: hey, America, why have you decided to produce and sell those crappy chips in Poland? And poison those poor people with such thing :P

Things are so complicated from your perspective :D I go to shop, pick just plain chips, or paprika, I pick Winiary Majonez Dekoracyjny (so far the best one, I hate that fake Hellmann, HELL-man :) thing that taste like fuel) I pay, I go home :). This procedure is simple as that ;)
I keep trying to figure out why Polish people want to have this stuff in their country. We don't buy it, any of it, but we never did in the States either. Things are not complicated, things are different. When everything is different then everything gets complicated. Does that make sense? ;)
DeleteWait! There are crackers that taste like fruits of the forest?! I MUST FIND THEM!!! :D :D :D
