Just fresh Guacamole, handmade, which for us really just means mashed with salt and pepper, a little lemon and diced tomatoes. Tortilla Chips!!! I didn't think I would find them. Not any at Alma but good ol' Carrefour!
According to their website http://alma24.pl/szukaj?search=dr+pepper they should have Dr. Pepper at Alma. And the price 2,69zł is quite acceptable. joann

Dr. Pepper is easily available in "Kuchnie Świata", I'm sure that you can find this chain of stores in some Kraków malls, as well as tortilla chips which are by the way in most of the stores... Tesco, Carrefour, Real, Kaufland... but I buy mine in my local store. Poland is not as backward ;)
I'm pretty sure that not having Dr. Pepper doesn't make you "backwards." They don't have Dr. Pepper in New York, and I don't think NY is "backwards."
I have never been to a Kucnie Swiata but I will look for one. Honestly, I've only looked in Carrefour and Alma, so I've got quite a ways to go before I say it's impossible to find Dr. Pepper here.
They didn't have it at Alma? That's actually kinda weird. Hope you find it tho, it's gotta be available in Kra if it's easily available in Wro. Although, I do recall it not being available from time to time. Maybe it's available "while supplies last" :) I had no idea there's no Dr Pepper in NY. Now that's...sad news actually.
Where are the fish tacos and enchaladas? :)
ReplyDeleteIs that Guacamole mix and fresh avocados or premade? Looks good!

DeleteThey normally have Dr Pepper at Piotr i Pawel, that's where I would normally get it, along with ginger ale.
ReplyDeleteWhat! I am on my way right now...
DeleteThat's where I normally used to get it back home. It sure is overpriced, but what can you do :)
DeleteI buy Dr Pepper at local shops and supermarkets in Warsaw. It's not in every single store, but still there's no problem finding it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could ask at your store if they could get some cans for you?
Carrefour. Is. Awesome. (Sincerely, Lacey)

ReplyDeleteBeen living in PL for over 5 years now PL is backwards, and will always be. It is over 50 years behind The USA.

You can easily buy Dr. Pepper in many Polish grocery stores! Not only in Piotr i Paweł or Kuchnie Świata. You just should keep your eyes open ;)
