...the show.

It was a very American 4th of July. Except everyone was speaking Polish. We were supposed to have a small family party and then Hejjo told me halfway through grocery shopping that he had invited his neighborhood friends. It turned out to be quite a party and there was plenty to go around. I was proud of Hejjo's pinata. He even used his own candy that he had been saving. The fireworks were a result of a husband who never gives up and an accommodating proprietor. The food was delicious. I got to eat potato chips! A twice a year occurrence and well worth the wait. The beer was cold and the company was kind. It was a fine evening.

Happy Birthday, America!
We're thinking of you.

  3. Independence Day in Poland :) Nice. 4th of July is nice date to celebrate. Better than Polish Independence Day in grumpy November :)
