Christ is Risen! Chrystus Zmartwychwstał!

He is Risen Indeed!  Prawdziwie Zmartwychwstał!

The most recent theories surrounding the Shroud of Turin believe that the image was created due to what could only be explained as something akin to a burst of "exceptional radiation." Interesting. And I think Rembrandt does a decent job here of providing a glimpse of what that might have been like. (Wikipedia info)

An excerpt from the Paschal Homily of St. John Chrysostom (again, Wikipedia). I think it's lovely.

O death, where is thy sting?
O Hades, where is thy victory?
Christ is risen, and you are overthrown!
Christ is risen, and the demons are fallen!
Christ is risen, and the angels rejoice!
Christ is risen, and life reigns!
Christ is risen, and not one dead remains in a tomb!
For Christ, being raised from the dead, has become the first-fruits of them that have slept.
To Him be glory and might unto the ages of ages.
Amen.

I hope you are all having a wonderful Easter Sunday, and continue to have a wonderful Easter season.

    1. Goodness, who knows anymore. More snow coming tonight! At this point I am holding fast to the knowledge that it will someday be Spring. Maybe not any time soon, but it will happen, if history is right. ;)

    1. It is good. Actually the whole thing is quite amazing but it's too long for this place. I just skipped to the end. :)
