Autumn.

  1. Nice crop! Seems like apples in Małopolska were good this year (we too had a ton). Some good cider making material :)

    1. It is outrageous. We must have half a ton or more. Seriously. This weekend is supposed to be doing-something-with-the-apples weekend. We'll see how far we get.

  2. You have apples!!!!!!!!!!!! Sigh. Gorgeous photos...

And yes, Poland seems so very very much like Michigan. If you ever come back to America, I do believe Martin (and you!) would like it here very much. HINT HINT.

    1. We have so any apples, we are swimming in them! I've told Martin about Michigan before. It would certainly be hard for me to leave all these seasons to return to Texas. Who knows... nothing would surprise me at this point.

    1. I don't know what kind of apples they are but they are crispy and delicious. I have been making apple sauce and cakes all month. Very good, not so great for the waistline but we don't really see other people often so who cares!

Kacio is staying the baby for as long as he can...

  4. Not sure if this is worth it with the amount you have, but you can see if there is a "skup jablek" nearby. You should be able to get around 1zł/kg as they may classify those as "odpady"... not a fortune, but a little extra always helps.

    1. We are going to start giving them away. Or leaving them. Every other year they all just rot on the ground. We will do our best but we will never be able to use them all. I figure that's a step in the right direction.

    2. Or use them as a peace offering to introduce yourselves to your soon-to-be new neighbors. At the end of the 3 weeks we were just in Poland, we told our neighbor to take as many of our apples as he could eat as we have nothing we can do with them... and in return he surprised us with a whole chicken (not live, but very fresh). Happy neighbors = less problems :)

  5. Mmmm, apple cake...
Were those walnuts, by the way?
And that picture of Kacio sipping cocoa is ADORABLE!

    1. More walnuts than apples. Although they last a lot longer.
